[Rooms 105 & 106] Dr Bronwyn Gresham CEO, Psychology for a Safe Climate
Dr Bronwyn Gresham is a Clinical Psychologist and CEO of Psychology for a Safe Climate, a not-for-profit organisation fostering emotional engagement in climate change.
Dr Gresham has a unique understanding of the emotional, relational and psychological pressures impacting the workforce, volunteers and the community. Her work is focused on enabling Australians to seed, nurture and strengthen inner skills – emotional, social, and psychological – to better process subjective climate reality.
It is widely understood that climate work can carry with it psychological impacts like grief and burnout, and is one of the biggest barriers to scaling the action required. As such, climate emotions are recognised as shared rather than private, and the transformational inner changes required to cultivate outer changes are seen as a collective responsibility.
Dr Gresham will bring a deeply informative and highly nuanced emotional lens to work in the climate space, drawing on a wealth of experience from the health, university and environmental sectors. (slides)
