The Victorian Greenhouse Alliances Annual Conference is the highest profile local government climate change conference in Australia.
It brings together Victorian local government councillors, executive leaders and officers, working on and interested in climate change projects and advocacy. Victoria councils started working together to form Greenhouse Alliances over 20 years ago, and they have been leading on climate action ever since.
The conference will be back this year and will be held on Friday 29 April 2022 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. The Victorian Greenhouse Alliances are again partnering with the Council Alliance for a Sustainable Built Environment (CASBE) to bring you a conference on what government action on climate change could look like in this next critical decade. Together we'll explore a wide range of topics from getting off gas, to rural and regional industry transitions, tackling business emissions, carbon offsetting, land use planning, embedding climate change in council planning, the cost of adaptation, the intersections of climate and health, and more.
The online programme can be found here - this will continue to be updated as we get closer to the conference.
This conference is aimed at local government officers and councillors. If you would like more information about the conference and if it is relevant to you, please contact Sally: sally@naga.org.au
